PROJECT TOOLS
Kich Photography is a Toronto-based studio named after the playful Punjabi phrase “Kich meri photo,” or “Take my photo.” The brand is rooted in Punjabi heritage, not just in name but in spirit — celebrating creativity, respect, collaboration, and diversity. These values guide every part of the studio’s identity, creating a space that feels welcoming, expressive, and proudly connected to community.
LOGO DESIGN —
The Kich logo takes inspiration from the inner workings of a camera — its lenses and shutters. The overlapping letterforms mirror the layered motion of a shutter, while the gradient within the typography reflects the subtle depth and sheen of a camera lens. It’s a design that feels both technical and personal, tying the brand identity back to the heart of photography.
STATIONARY —
Business cards
Designed to reflect the sleekness of modern gear and professionalism in the studio’s work, while keeping typography playful and approachable
Letterhead
Designed to feel polished yet personal, the letterhead reflects the studio’s refined aesthetic while using clean hierarchy and generous spacing for readability. The logo placement reinforces brand presence without overwhelming the message.
Envelope
The envelope design mirrors the visual tone of the letterhead, with branding placed subtly on the back flap for a sleek, understated reveal. It ties the identity together across all touchpoints in print communication.
BRAND GUIDELINES
This project helped me explore the power of cohesive branding across physical and digital touchpoints. It sharpened my approach to logo design systems, while teaching me how typography, colour, and tone can work together to reflect a brand’s values.
